“In our intricate world, we often seek solace in simplicity - those grounding moments that provide respite from the chaos. As humans, we crave order, categorising existence into frameworks like religions and identities to try and grasp the infinite layers of reality. Yet, comprehending the complexities proves an immense challenge, revealing the arrogance of our efforts to simplify the impossibly complex.
During an emotionally challenging time in my life, I found myself drawn to painting the uncomplicated pleasures - a glass of wine in the night’s silence, a cup on tea in the morning sun. These ordinary marvels became portals into an exploration of understanding myself and the world around me.
This collection celebrates our quest for meaning, curiosity about our universe, and longing for tranquility amidst existence’s intricate tapestry. It is an ode to the extraordinary found within the ordinary.”
